In many cases, it may take upwards of two months before the eyes have completely healed. Under/Over

Under-corrections and over-corrections can occur when the surgery results in the removal of too little or too much issues. This can result in eyesight that is not clear enough or not any clearer at all. Under-corrections are able to be fixed with additional surgeries, however over-corrections may take a it more work to rectify.

Astigmatism

This condition can result of LASIK surgery in cases where an uneven tissue amount has been removed. In many cases, this result is due to an eye not being stable enough at the time of surgery. Additional procedures may be required in order to correction the condition.

Dry Eyes

Patient eyes may feel abnormally dry for the first few months following surgery. While drops are generally recommended, there is also the option of an additional procedure that can work to prevent tears from draining from the eyes surfaces.

Flap Issues

During surgery, a flap in the cornea is made with a laser or small blade, allowing the surgeon to access the tissue of the cornea. In some cases this flap can become infected. In others the tissue underneath the flap can grow abnormally.
